The passage and your response to it are different things. Keep a personal reflection beside the source: what resonated, what you questioned, or what the words brought to mind. Your reflection stays close without becoming part of the quoted passage. Kept gives both their own place, rather than combining them into an indistinguishable note.

Ask questions across books you have already read, starting with the passages you have saved. Look for a recurring idea or a connection between sources. Library-based answers show their saved-source references, while the original passage, your thought, and the generated answer stay distinct. Ask starts with your reading, not an all-knowing blank page.

Kept also makes space for the reading itself. Focus sessions help you give one book your attention. Your streak comes from real reading, not empty activity, and widgets offer a small invitation back to the page. The point is to return to the book and what it means to you.
